Yas Mall · Rectification & Protection Works
A series of documented facility packages delivered at Yas Mall · AHU roof rust rectification and waterproofing, structural concrete ceiling repair at Gates 3 & 4, and the replacement of 934 customised RCC car wheel stoppers across the Grand Prix and Fashion parking areas.
Project Facts
Rust Rectification & Waterproofing
Removal and rectification of rusted GI roof cladding across 50 AHU roof locations, restored and sealed for long-term protection.
Existing corroded cladding was dismantled and carted away, rust removed by grinding and sand blasting, and affected areas repaired with weatherproof putty and reinforcement patches. New 1 mm aluminium sheet cladding was then installed with waterproof fasteners to fully cover each roof.
All joints were sealed with high-performance weatherproof sealant, and the system finished with primer and waterproof protective painting, preventing water ingress and extending the service life of the AHU enclosures.

934 Customised Wheel Stoppers
Replacement, supply and installation of 934 customised reinforced-concrete wheel stoppers, completed in three months with a 5-year product warranty.
Damaged existing stoppers were carefully removed and disposed of, followed by surface preparation and minor crack repair to establish a sound substrate. New custom-manufactured RCC units, 2000 × 150 × 100 mm, each incorporating a 25 × 25 × 150 mm water passage gap to maintain surface drainage, were installed in pre-drilled holes and securely fixed.
Surface imperfections were treated with primer and putty, then finished with a primer coat and two coats of high-durability road-marking paint for visibility, weather resistance and a professional appearance.

Permanent Concrete Ceiling Repair
Condition assessment and permanent structural repair of the deteriorated concrete ceiling, completed in 20 working days.
Defective areas were identified and marked, with loose, delaminated and spalled concrete removed to expose sound substrate and the affected reinforcement. Exposed bars were cleaned of rust and treated with an anti-corrosion protective coating, with M.S. mesh reinforcement added where required.
Cement boards were fixed as permanent shuttering in a side-pocket arrangement, and the voids filled with Sika Renderoc repair mortar through the side-pocketing method, ensuring complete cavity filling, encapsulation of the reinforcement and full bond with the existing concrete, while leaving a durable, finished ceiling surface.
